Peter joined the lab in Nov 2023 to begin an eight-month sabbatical at UC Davis from York University in Toronto, Canada. He worked primarily in the lab of Dr. Don Bers, performing ECC and confocal imaging experiments along with his PhD student Renée Gorman. The experiments focused on the expression and function of transient outward potassium currents (Ito) using mice brought from Toronto. Peter has also been doing computer modeling studies related to Ito with the input from Drs. Don Bers, Ele Grandi, and Nip Chiamvimonvat. He has thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality shown by many members of the Bers, Grandi, Chiamvimonvat, Navedo, Santana, Xiang, and Izu laboratories as well as living in northern California, and he is thankful to the entire UC Davis community.
